Community Council for the Homeless at Friendship Place (CCHFP) had been struggling with a patchwork website that had been designed and managed by many people over the years. They came to CEDC for a Joomla! CMS website that would have a consistent design and would be easier to update than their previous method.
CCHFP was on a very tight budget so they opted for choosing a free template design online and having CEDC alter it with their chosen colors and photos. Once the site was set up in Joomla they added much of the content themselves. Features include a password protected section for the Board of Directors and a “Homelessness 101” section with video information and stories from formerly homeless people who had found help at CCHFP. Videos and other information can now be easily added by anyone on staff.
